Founded in 1834, the Por Larrañaga factory is one of the oldest in Cuba. The brand reached its peak around 1900. You find articles in the newspapers of the time that celebrate the global reputation of this luxury brand. After the revolution, the importance of the Por Larrañaga brand steadily diminished and production nearly stopped. It is possible that it is the Petit Corona format - always and still appreciated by connoisseurs all over the world - that saved this big old brand. This format, however modest it is, still meets the typical characteristics of the once famous Por Larrañaga with their amazing aromas of caramel and their so typical creamy taste.
